Now with 6mm (1/4") translucent lid made from Polycarbonate as standard. Strong enough to stand on but not to drive a car over, if you want a lid that strong, you need to upgrade to the 16mm (2/3") lid.
The FloodBuster Lid is tinted yet see through, and with the under water LED light with remote control you can see what's going on inside your sump it without even lifting the lid or disconnecting anything.
When you do want to lift the lid it is easy! There are no bolts or screws holding the lid down, it just sits on the compressible seal under it's own weight - with no pipes or wires to disconnect as they are routed sideways through special cut-out ports in the side of the sump pit, nothing comes up through the lid, so you can still use that part of the floor, making it almost totally concealed in a finished basement if you need to.
The sump liner is 18" square at the top, which is easy to work with when finishing a basement, and 13.5" diameter at the base which, which is 20" deep and makes for a much easier hole to dig compared with most others.
The compressible seal between the rim and the lid provides much better gas resistance than two hard plastic surfaces touching each other, and can be improved further by the application of a little silicone grease (not included).
The liner itself is pre-assembled from four identical quadrants which click together before the circular floor and the compressible seal are added. Prior to installation this can appear to be a bit flimsy, but the strength comes from the compression of the segments together when installed together with the concrete that goes around and under the rim.
For contractors buying in bulk the sump liners and lids can be purchased 'flat pack' for self assembly which saves on shipping costs and storage space. Enquire for details.
