This is for one length of 7'6" of Waterguard Basement Drainage Channel without the wall drain (aka flange).
Accessories are available at additional cost and include curved corners, inspection ports, drain outlet and jointing clips.
Flangeless Waterguard (formerly BaseDrain) is similar to regular Waterguard but without the flange. It also has the additional feature of an anti-microbial additive which helps compbat such things as iron ochre fungus and baterial build up in the channel. The corners are curved to aid water flow.
Waterguard Basement Channel designed for use around the perimeter of the basement but is also useful for cross-floor runs of channel which are sometimes necessary for large basements and those with isolated spots of hydro-static pressure - which can cause water to well up in the middle of the floor.
Primarily designed to sit above the footer in order to prevent dirt and sllt washing into it as can happen with deeply burried drain-tile systems: -
The Flangeless Waterguard Channel is needed when: -
- if you do not need to protect against wall leaks (not all basements suffer from them and there are other means of dealing with them)
- you need cross-floor drainage, for example when the basement is large in large and has leaking floor cracks.
- you do not have 4" of floor concrete over the footer - requiring the channel to go in front of the footer. (Please contact us for advice if this is the case)
- you prefer to have a sealed system (the flange is open topped).
WaterGuard is not for use in steel reinforced concrete raft foundations (aka monolithic floor/ footing)
